One of the best attributes of Meridian~Kessler as a livable, walkable, urban community is the ability of residents to have a diversity of choices in where and how their children learn.
There are nearly 40 primary and secondary schools in the area immediately surrounding Meridian~Kessler. The Meridian~Kessler Neighborhood Association, often working closely with other civic organizations, strives to foster greater interaction between schools, parents, children and civic leaders.
Deciding where and how to educate your child is arguably one of the most important and often challenging decisions facing families everywhere. In both September 2013 and 2014 , the seventeen neighborhoods of Midtown and in partnership with the Children’s Museum of Indianapolis, and Midtown Indianapolis, Inc. presented the Midtown Education Summit. Fifty schools and over 200 parents attended.
Most recently, the 2014 Midtown Education Summit was on Thursday, September 25th at The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis. Learn more about the event.
