Home Tour Recap: Albaugh Family Home
5883 N. Washington Blvd.
Jessica and Matt Albaugh moved to Indianapolis 14 years ago looking for a neighborhood similar to the one they moved from in Lincoln Park, IL. They purchased a home at 5896 Washington Blvd, but always loved this house just across the street at 5883. Six years, many conversations, and many beverages later, they convinced the previous owner to sell. Since moving in eight years ago, Jessica and Matt have taken on three major renovations to the 1924 Italianate home – adding hardwoods and marble on the first floor, a basement renovation, and the largest renovation – an addition which re-oriented the garage entrance, expanded the kitchen and family room and added a master suit and laundry on the second floor.
The Albaugh’s love Meridian-Kessler; it’s wonderful local restaurants and shops, and it’s proximity to much of Indianapolis and to their friends. They believe it’s the perfect place to raise their family and call home.
