College Avenue Stitchers, May 2 from 11:30am — 1:00pm
Adults are invited to join other knitters and crocheters for a fun social gathering. Attendees can bring their own projects and supplies, but free help and lessons will be available for those who are interested.

In partnership with WorkOne and EmployIndy, the Library presents a free service for unemployed or underemployed individuals to receive one-on-one assistance to enhance their employment skills. The session will focus on job search strategies, interviewing skills, resume development, and instruction on basic computer skills. The Job Center is made possible by Friends of the Library through gifts to The Indianapolis Public Library Foundation.

Born to Read at College Avenue, May 5, 12, 19 & 26 at 10:30am
Babies from birth until they become mobile and an adult are invited for stories, songs and movement activities. Siblings are welcome to attend and bring a bear or doll to be their “baby.”

Lemonade Stand Recipes, May 5 at 4:00pm
Children ages 6 and older are invited to get ready for Lemonade Day (May 16) by making and sampling lemonade recipes during this workshop by Gourmet Girlfriends. Participants can vote for the best recipe! Call 275-4320 to register.

Preschoolers ages 3 – 5 and an adult are invited for old-fashioned stories, songs and movement activities combined with technology such as eBooks, Pleo the dinosaur, and digital cameras.

Mother Goose on the Loose, May 7, 14 & 21 at 10:30am
Toddlers and an adult are invited for an early literacy program using a variety of activities such as rhymes, songs, puppets and instruments to foster speech development, motor coordination, self-confidence and sensitivity to others.
